Painting Fairies in Switzerland

Painting fairies in Switzerland.

As I write this post, I am sitting in Davos, Switzerland. I have been here for a couple of weeks now. I came, not for vacation, or for work, but to support my partner, Marc. His father passed away 6 days ago, and it has been a very sad time.

I did have some spare time. I don’t speak Swiss German very well, and there were many things Marc and his mother had to attend to.

I tried to stay fit cross-country skiing – a first for me.

My first time cross country skiing.

Marc and his brother Eric swooshed along elegantly with long, efficient strokes. I pushed along stiffly, with occasional spasms to keep from falling. So embarrassing 🥺.

Today I skied alone, and I must say, I think I’m starting to get the hang of it. It is undeniably a great workout, and I like the low-impact aspect of it. When I get home, I should be in good shape to resume horseback riding.

I decided to do two fairy paintings while I was here.

They will go nicely with my mermaid painting collection .

I still need to tweek this one. I used a reference picture of the lady from #faestock.

I return home this weekend – ready to get back to work. Hugs to you all.
